The Best of Oughterard and Connemara
If you have a sense of history, 'Connemara' will conjure up many kinds of emotion.
Oscar Wilde famously described it as 'Savage beauty'.
For me, it's the feeling of Freedom and the awe inspiring natural wonder that I see all around me especially when I'm out on Lough Corrib in a small boat and experience the unimaginable beauty, power, silence and magnitude of the sky, water and mountains. Then I might spot a tiny boat in the distance and hear the whispers of the fishermen on board, or if near the shore and hear the birds chattering and wonder 'what they are talking about?
Or when I'm out for a walk and experience the four seasons in an hour -
Even more MAGIC!.

Trevor Northage is a Master Mariner and spent 6 years charting the lake from his boat, Burlesque.
